Walsh Consulting Engineers (formally Tate Professional Engineers) has operated on the Sunshine Coast since 1984. Justin Walsh joined the firm to oversee stormwater drainage analysis and subdivisional design in 1994. After becoming a director in 1999, Justin became the Managing Director on the retirement of Rod Tate in 2004. The name of the firm was changed to Walsh Consulting Engineers in 2016.

The company is an employee owned mid-sized consulting practice with the majority of our employees having greater than 15 years experience in the industry. This level of staffing and experience allows the firm to service the most complex of projects whilst maintaining our commitment to innovative and personalised service.

Since its inception the company has designed and supervised the construction of many thousands of Residential and Commercial allotments and buildings.

As of the 1st of July 2021, Unitywater no longer assess, supervise, or approve water supply and sewerage connections or network construction. These responsibilities are now devolved to a panel of registered providers which include us as a Tier One Certifier. Our fees for this work are similar to those previously charged by Unitywater.

Walsh Consulting Engineers has an exceptional depth of knowledge, experience and qualifications in delivering services which include specialised Engineering Consulting and Management for Civil and Structural projects.

• Set and monitor objectives and measurable targets relevant to the business’ quality performance, documented in a
  Management Plan, and reviewed periodically by management.
• Provide adequate resources to continually review and improve our Quality Management System.
• Encourage all people to integrate quality management into the way we work and promote its application as a method for continual improvement within their area of responsibility.
• Actively seek performance feedback from our customers and address opportunities for improvement that are identified.
